Super simple.......I wanna know if anyone is still out there! LOL

So, as promised here are some pics of me and the rest of the Karnevil Krewe Hard at work....ok...well....mostly hard at work. LOL!

To the right you will see me....in all my stage finery, acting as human target for my partner Arson. Our whip show is pretty awesome if I do say so myself, and Arson is wonderful to work with. Perfect aim and a FANTASTIC Talker. (NEVER call him a "barker"...it's a horrible insult in the sideshow world!)

And here we have myself, Snidely (our Strongman) and Arson (our headman plus SO much more)
We are usually far more personable...but it was after a loooong show and the photographer actually WANTED us all to flip him off. (Love ya James Moore!)

Our new bannerline....all personalised rather than generic and all hand painted by yours truly!
Arson likes to joke "Snidely's mustache not to scale....Gypsy totally to scale."
Yes folks...I'm freaking short......
This is Snidely doing his thing next to my beloved ladder of swords! (Which he designed and built btw!)
Aaaaannd a little more of my banner work.
(plug plug plug)
Lastly (but never least).....our headman.
Whip artiste, blockhead (not an insult but a job title), escapologist, magician and all around charmer.
He and I started on this crazy journey almost 3 years ago, and through thick and thin, poor and flush, best of friends or ready to kill one another we have stuck to it.
Boss....I just wanna say....
Thanks for everything!
I love ya, ya big jerk!

(AND big ups to BabsWhoTakesPictures and Bruce Hockenbury for the awesome shots!)

The New Improved Me.......

So.......I'm back. I've been trying to come up with a way to start this for about a year now, and this is what I came up with....

Hey all! I know it's been a while, but there's been a LOT of VERY BIG changes in my life, and I guess I wanted to come up with a way to express all of it. Let me just start with this.....I am a VERY different person than what y'all have gotten used to, and I wanted to give people who follow this page a chance to run away screaming before I really dive in.
Not even kidding.
If ANY of the following is likely to disturb or bother you, run.
Sideshow pictures or video, blood (usually mine), swearing, violence, horror, bad convention stories, burlesque, nudity, sex, geeky topics, gaming and video games, cosplay.....

So yeah....lots of changes.
For instance...look at the pic up there. Karnevil Circus Sideshow. That's me up there on the right!
About 80lbs lighter, wearing corsets (!!) and sexy burlesquer gear.... I hurt myself for money. LOL!
See that guy on the left? That's my partner. 13 years younger, whip master, escapologist, magician, showman. We started Karnevil together one year ago and already have one tour under our belts.
We're about to leave for tour 2.
After about 4 months we had t-shirts and swag, a full tour planned, a van, and big dreams.
Now, at a year we have pre booked conventions, fairs and gigs, another tour, MORE swag and a serious fan following.

The things I am likely to post here are road stories, accidents, fears, dreams and LOADS of pics.
I'm likely to pimp our website and facebook page a lot. A WHOLE LOT.
I'll mention bands we tour/work with and link to their pages and music.
I'll post pics of burlesquers we work with.
I'll post pics of us and our torture devices...I mean gear...
AND I will MERCILESSLY promote our gigs and events.
So consider yourselves warned.
Run now if you want.
If you stay.....
Well you chose this.

OK, new post time, and this one is really important to me.
I have a chance to actually realise my dream of having my own gallery! Not just my own work, but the work of others who don't regularly get the chance to show. Tattoo art, graphic art, horror art...all kinds of amazing work that tends to make local gallery owners cringe.
I think it's time people got the message: "fine art" is not just landscapes, still-lifes and portraits!

The bad news....I am broke as a joke. LOL!
The good news....through my friends in Hellblinki and This Way to the Egress I discovered an AWESOME program for the arts called "Kickstarter". Folks, this site is fantastic! It's entire purpose is to raise capital for individuals, or groups, that are trying to achieve something new in the arts. Documentary filmmakers, writers, poets, artists, sculptors, musicians....it's brilliant! With funding for the arts being cut at every turn, a program like this is perfectly timed.
It doesn't rely on grants, loans or any other type of payback funding. No interest rates, or killer fees.
This program relys on people. The artist's friends, family and peers, even complete strangers with a big heart towards the arts. These people become one's project backers, and as such receive a reward from the artist that goes along with the theme of the project. A piece of art, secret MP3, t-shirt...etc.
.....which brings me to my main reason for this post (ya had to know it was coming!).
Aside from letting all you fine folks know about Kickstarter, which has a TON of great projects that need backing, I would love to introduce y'all to MY pet project: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2103311768/bringing-an-edgy-cool-gallery-to-new-hope

Now here's how this works. I have a monetary goal of $2,000. and an end date of Halloween around 6pm. IF I reach my goal on time, I get the money for my project and all my backers get their chosen rewards.
If I DON'T reach my goal in time, well I get nothing and my backers keep their cash but get no rewards.
Now, the space I'm supposed to be getting is tiny but really cool....and needs a metric ton of work to be useable.LOL!
It used to be a little diner, so it needs: a new floor, a new back wall, all new wiring and lighting, new plumbing, paint, a new door.....all that stuff. So reaching that goal in time is REALLY important to me. It's the only way I'm ever going to be able to afford to fix the place up.

SO....on that note....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE consider being a patron for the arts! (You can back for as little as $1 all the way up to $500 or more. Heck, if all my facebook friends backed for $2. a piece I'll hit my goal in a flash!!
I'll post updates as they happen, but for now I'll back away from the keyboard slowly and wait.
